Loype kelp

This Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed grows in the clean waters of the North Atlantic, where it naturally absorbs minerals and trace elements from the marine environment. Shortly after harvesting, it is gently dried and ground into flakes to retain the maximum amount of its natural nutrients. Thanks to its rich content of minerals, trace elements, and naturally occurring iodine, it represents a simple way to enrich a dog's daily diet with valuable nutrients. Regular supplementation of kelp is associated not only with supporting overall vitality, but also with oral health – studies show that it can help reduce the formation of dental plaque and tartar, and help maintain fresh breath.

Kelp is valued primarily for its content of naturally occurring minerals, trace elements, and bioactive substances. This makes it an excellent supplement to a varied diet for dogs of all ages. It supports overall vitality, healthy skin, and a shiny coat, and thanks to its iodine content, it also contributes to the proper function of the thyroid gland. It is suitable as a supplement to both BARF (raw feeding) and kibble.

One of the most well-known benefits of kelp is its impact on oral hygiene. With regular feeding, the active substances are absorbed into the body and subsequently secreted into the saliva. This can help limit the accumulation of dental plaque, slow down the formation of tartar, and contribute to fresher breath. We have ground the seaweed into coarser flakes to help remove plaque mechanically as well. This is not a replacement for brushing teeth, but rather a simple way to support daily dental care from within.

Simply mix the kelp into your dog's regular food. Start with a smaller amount and gradually adjust the dose based on the size of the dog and the recommended dosage. Due to the natural iodine content, it is not recommended to exceed the suggested amount long-term.
